This image shows the interior of what was the McCannell Store and Post Office in Princeton as it looked around 1930. In the picture are Ernest Pike, postmaster; Carl Smith, assistant postmaster; Clarence Monk, in the very back of the store; Neil McCannell on the right with bow tie and cigarette; Neil's sons James Edgar McCannell on the far right; and Oscar McCannell on the left.

Neil E. McCannell was an enterprising Princeton businessman. In addition to his Main Street store, he manufactured and distributed his patented Soda-Licious beverages, operated a movie house in the Town Hall and traveled to neighboring towns to show movies.

For his customers who ordered custom made suits, McCannell took the measurements himself and insisted the customer try on the suit when it arrived; if it needed alterations, he made them himself.
